How the Schedule Has Changed Over Time
2025 — Refresh
Native NACS Charge Port & a Bigger Battery Refresh
The mid-cycle refresh moves the charge port and adds a native NACS connector on every trim but GT, bumps battery capacity roughly 10%, and adds a restyled front end and US production. The routine maintenance list — rotations, cabin filter, brake fluid, battery-coolant checks — carries over unchanged; there is still no engine oil to change and no ignition system to service.
2022 — US Launch
EV6 Arrives on the 800V E-GMP Platform New Gen
The EV6 launched as Kia's first dedicated EV, built on the 800V E-GMP platform with RWD single-motor and AWD dual-motor configurations. Without a combustion engine, the factory schedule skips oil changes and ignition-system service entirely: tire rotation and a multi-point inspection every 8,000 miles, a cabin air filter, brake fluid on a 48,000-mile cycle, and periodic checks of the battery-thermal-management coolant loop. AWD dual-motor cars add a front reduction-gear oil fill that the RWD single-motor skips; under normal use it's inspected, not scheduled for a change.
