2025 — Facelift + Base-Engine Swap
Base Engine Moves From Turbo to Naturally Aspirated Engine Change
Star Map LED lighting, dual 12-inch displays, and a rotary shifter arrived alongside a base-engine change: the 1.6L turbo is replaced by a 2.5L naturally-aspirated engine (the GT keeps its 2.5L turbo). The plug interval flips from turbo-short (~48,000 miles) to NA-long (96,000 miles) on base trims.
2024 — Minor Update
Heated Front Seats on GT-Line FWD Maintenance
A feature-only update with no styling or mechanical change; the schedule carried over unchanged.
2021 — New Generation
K5 Replaces the Optima New Gen
The 3rd-generation DL3 K5 replaced the Optima with a 180-hp 1.6L turbo base and a 290-hp 2.5L turbo GT. Routine oil and rotation is 8,000 miles or 12 months; brake fluid replacement is 48,000 miles or 48 months; first coolant change is due at 120,000 miles.
