The redesigned 2nd-generation Niro launched with a naturally-aspirated 1.6L Atkinson-cycle hybrid and a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. High-voltage battery and regenerative-braking service items are part of the schedule alongside routine oil and rotation every 8,000 miles, cabin filter checks, spark plugs around 96,000 miles, and the engine coolant and HEV inverter coolant — serviced together on one combined interval — with their first change at 120,000 miles.
