2nd Generation — 2027 to Present

How the Schedule Has Changed Over Time

2027 — New Generation
2.5L Turbo + Telluride Hybrid Replace the 3.8L V6 New GenEngine Change
The second-generation Telluride retires the 3.8L V6 for a 2.5L turbocharged four and a new Telluride Hybrid. Turbo engines are harder on oil — severe-service changes come sooner when towing or in stop-and-go heat — and the Hybrid adds high-voltage battery system inspections while regenerative braking extends brake pad life. Several calibrations that once required a service visit now arrive over the air.
2023 — Refresh
X-Line & X-Pro Bring Severe-Duty Service Into Play Maintenance
The mid-cycle refresh added the off-road-focused X-Line and X-Pro. For owners who actually use them off pavement, the severe-duty column of the schedule applies: more frequent oil changes, plus AWD transfer and differential gear-oil inspections after deep water or heavy mud. The tow package’s hitch and wiring join the inspection list.
2020 — First Model Year
3.8L V6 Launches With 7,500-Mile Intervals New Gen
The Telluride launched with the 3.8L GDI V6 and a straightforward schedule: oil, rotation, and multi-point inspection every 7,500 miles or 12 months; cabin filter at 15,000; engine air filter and brake fluid on 30,000-mile cycles; spark plugs at 97,500; coolant first due at 120,000. AWD models add rear-axle and transfer-case oil checks every 37,500 miles. This schedule carries through 2026 largely unchanged.
